We recently went on a Queenstown Guided Expedition through Skippers Canyon and into the valley beyond. Our guide and driver, Daniel Fraser, was very professional. He knows the country well, and its history. We had previously driven into Skippers Canyon in 1974, so we knew that the road was perched somewhat precariously along the cliff faces. Fortunately it is now a little wider, and Daniel is a safe driver. The scenery was superb, and we made some photo stops along the way.
We had lunch at the valley at the end of the canyon. The view of the valley was spectacular, and the colours were amazing. Daniel provided chairs and shade, and the food, which was delicious. On the way back we went across Skippers Bridge to Skippers Point, and had an opportunity to explore the buildings and the cemetery.
We highly recommend Queenstown Guided Expeditions, and look forward to doing a different trip with them next time we are in Queenstown.
